Inez Tipton Boring Lord, age 86, from Powell, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at NHC Fort Sanders in Knoxville.

She was always proud to have been born in Cades Cove, Tennessee. She was born on January 6, 1929 to Jonathan and Louisa Myers Tipton.

She was married to Burgess Penn Boring, deceased, and had three children. She has been married to James (Barney) Lord for nearly twenty five happy years. Till the very end, they could be seen sneaking kisses and holding hands. She had a heart stopping beauty and a gorgeous smile. She played basketball in high school, had her own beauty shop, and loved to clog. She sang in church, played the piano by ear and was always faithful to take her children to church.

Preceded in death by: Parents: Jonathan and Louisa Tipton; Husband; Burgess Penn Boring; Daughter, Sandra Stewart; Granddaughter, Sommer Leigh Workman; Siblings: Vernie Tipton, Roy Tipton, Lee Tipton, Lois Lane, Ruth Myers, Mary Katherine Tipton and Shirley Finger.

She is survived by: Her husband, James (Barney) Lord from Powell, Tennessee; Her Children: her son and his wife, Tipton and Tracy Boring, from Maryville, Tennessee; her daughter and son in law, Joy Boring Workman and Dr. Timothy Workman, from Crawley, West Virginia. Her grandchildren: Gary and Michelle Taft; Brian Taft; Jeremy and Jessi Stewart; Betty Jo Haun; Tipton II and Sarah Boring; Joshua and Jessica Workman; Caleb and Della Workman; Micah and Melissa Workman; Betty and Mark Feury. Her step-grandchildren: TJ Henry; Toby Henry; Nathan Newman; and Allie Newman. Her great grandchildren: Ashley Taft; Riley Taft; Bailey Stewart; Lucy Stewart; Buford Watson, Jr.; David Watson; Tipton Boring III; Jacob Boring; Zachariah Feury; Sommer Feury; Aubrey Workman; Emma Workman; Marilyn Workman. Sisters: Jean Swift and Betty Seaton, both from Maryville, Tennessee. She has many nieces and nephews that she loved, dearly.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm at Smith Trinity Chapel in Maryville, Tennessee on Friday, April 24, 2015 with services following at 7:00 pm. Her pastor, Youel Altizer from Graystone Baptist Church in Lewisburg, West Virginia will be officiating. Family and friends will assemble for Graveside services and interment at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 25, 2014 at Cades Cove Baptist Memorial Cemetery on Duncan Road, Maryville, Tennessee.

We would like to thank all the family that helped in giving comfort in mom's last days. Our mother was grounded in her faith. She assured us she was ready to be with her Lord and would be waiting there for us. We love you, mom, and we'll see you again.
